Help with choppy CQP recordings

Hello,

After spending a lot of time on this and researching until my eyes bleed, I am stumped. All of my recordings are very choppy when using CQP bitrate no matter how I tweak them. CBR works just fine, but as all of you fully comprehend, it doesn't look as crisp. Only CQP causes my recordings to go down to like 5 FPS. Preview window is perfectly fine with no stutters. I use the same exact output settings on a separate windows device with slightly less powerful specs to capture 4K 60 FPS gameplay, and it does not have issues with recording in CQP.

This issue is happening on a Lenovo Legion Pro 7i, which I would consider overqualified for this task.
Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX
NVIDIA RTX 5080
32 GB DDR5
2 TB SSD that are mostly empty

I noticed it says over 92% of the frames in the recording were skipped, but I don't comprehend these log files enough to pinpoint where the problem is or how to fix it. My system does not show any bottle necking or spikes in resource consumption while recording. Can anyone help diagnose this?

Thank you in advance.

1. In Windows, we recommend that "Game Mode" be enabled for maximum gaming performance. Game Mode can be enabled via the Windows "Settings" app, under Gaming > Game Mode.
2. Audio buffering hit the maximum value. This can be an indicator of very high system load and may affect stream latency or cause individual audio sources to stop working. Keep an eye on CPU usage especially, and close any unnecessary programs if needed.

Occasionally, this can be caused by incorrect device timestamps. Restart OBS to reset buffering.

Source affected (potential cause): Desktop Audio
3. Run OBS as Admin.
4. The encoder is skipping 92.8% frames because of GPU overload. Read about troubleshooting tips in our GPU Overload Guide. Disable Adaptive Quantization as that uses additional GPU and lower your Preset from P7 to P5. Try changing the refresh rate on whatever monitor that you're playing your games on to 60 and capping your games at 60 FPS.

If still having issues, provide a new log.

@LPDarkSoulsHD also update your NVIDIA drivers to the newest available Studio version.
